About

Urban-Industrial transparent“Strike! Hold!” is the motto of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (in which I served from 1983-1986). To me, this is a good motto for special / unconventional ops:  ‘STRIKE’ from the sky, from the sea, or on land - and ‘HOLD’ true to your mission, your unit, your comrades.

This blog/web-zine is dedicated to special operations and unconventional combat – the units, the stories, the gear, the training, the operations, etc.  It is intended to be of interest to both real-deal troops and also to hobbiests and enthusiasts. Within it, I hope to offer an approach that is independent, unique, accurate and always interesting.

“Strike – Hold!” – Lawrence.
