German weapons manufacturer, Dynamit Nobel Defence GmbH (DND), will be a participating exhibitor at 2009 IDEX from 22nd February through 26th February 2009. DND will be located at stand A 19 in the German Pavillion, Hall 9.

DND will display a variety of modern and highly effective shoulder-launched weapons for deployment by all international armed forces.

The DND line of products ranges from the 60 mm ultra-light Recoilless Grenade Weapon (RGW), designed for use by special forces and special police, to special weapons for urban warfare scenarios, to heavy AT weapons for MBT defeat with or without ERA. Also, a newly developed Rifle-Launched Entry Munition (RLEM) will be on hand for viewing.

The light RGW 60 (about 6 kg) is available with three warheads; a multi-purpose round with fragments and a shaped charge, a HESH round, and a HEAT round which is superior to similar products due to performance in RHA. As an option, this weapon can be equipped with a light computerized sight to enable soldiers to increase their hit probability, even under stress.

The new RGW 90 AS (Anti-Structure) is also being displayed at IDEX. This weapon is specially developed to meet the requirements of asymmetric warfare to be used in, for example, urban terrains, and is effective against fortifications of all kind, including structures such as concrete walls, brick walls, strong buildings, and other materials. For this purpose, the RGW 90 AS has a mode selection option.

The RGW 90 comes with a dual-mode warhead with selective switch and can act either as High Explosive Anti Tank (HEAT) or High Explosive Squash Head (HESH) round. This RGW 90 offers soldiers a highly reliable and efficient weapon for all modern warfare scenarios.

The well-known Panzerfaust 3 family of weapons is also being displayed at IDEX. These weapons belong to the strongest AT weapon family of their kind. This category consists of the Panzerfaust 3 with a mono shaped-charge warhead, the Panzerfaust 3 T with a tandem warhead for ERA defeat and, finally, the Panzerfaust 3 IT 600 (improved tandem 600 m) with an effective range of 600 m against moving targets such as MBT. These weapons can be equipped with the DYNARANGE fire control system, which is also being exhibited at IDEX.

DND will also show the new RLEM (Rifle Launched Entry Munition) system, in which a soldier is able to breach doors at a distance of up to 40 m. The RLEM is launched by a soldier’s assault rifle and allows troops to penetrate closed doors from a safe distance. The RLEM is available in two versions, can be fired with all types of assault rifles and is suitable for police units and counter-terrorism units.
